Island PT, LLC is regularly monitoring the COVID-19 virus nationally, and in and around the communities we serve and our commitment to you is to be here for you through this crisis.
Our number one priority has always been to protect the health and safety of our patients and staff. We are closely monitoring developments as they happen. We are taking all precautions recommended by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and local health and government organizations seriously. Based on those recommendations, we have created a plan to ensure the health and safety of our patients and employees. Here is how we are moving forward in the hopes that we can be a resource for you during these unprecedented times.
· We are open. Please be assured that all of our locations are operating as usual, and no closures or restrictions foreseeable at this time
· Cleanliness. While we clean daily and sanitize our office regularly, we are enhancing our procedures to ensure the office is a safe space. We will be disinfecting the office and high traffic areas throughout the day.
· Other precautions: Upon check-in, please wash your hands and or clean with hand sanitizer.
Island P.T. has always been committed to keeping a clean and sanitized environment without exception. We are continually discussing updated protocols and standard safety procedures to protect the health of our staff while treating you the patient. We are following the CDC's recommended advice.
Please be assured that we are doing everything possible to keep the health of our patients and staff a priority during your appointment.
If you have any questions or concerns, please call the office, and a member of our staff will be happy to help you.

I wanted to let everyone know as of March 24, 2020: WE ARE OPEN FOR BUSINESS!!
At all our facilities, we continue to take tremendous precautions to clean and disinfect all surfaces and contact areas. As always, we are washing our hands frequently. No one at any of Island PT’s clinics has shown any symptoms of COVID19 or any other flu. Most importantly, if you are running a fever and if you have a productive cough, please check with your primary doctor before venturing out. Chances are small, but you could have the coronavirus.
While we understand and respect the various government’s decisions to shut down normal daily life, we also see a need for continuity for our patients’ treatment. To that end, we will continue to serve our patients with our one-on-one care that you have come to expect. If our policy changes, our patients will be notified immediately.
Should we be forced to shut our doors, telemedicine will be available to help. While not ideal, it is a way for us to advise and continue to help people improve their function while at home. Also, if there is anyone who is interested in this who is currently sheltering in place, please give our office a call for details. Depending on the insurance company involved, we may be able to begin immediately. This mode of medicine is evolving daily as are the laws governing it. We are keeping ourselves abreast of all changes should this become the only means of practicing physical therapy.
