Derek is the owner and a therapist himself. He is currently splitting his time between the North Carleston and West Ashley offices, but you never know where he might pop up! A Charleston native, he received his Bachelors in English at Queens College. He went on to receive his Masters of Science and Rehabilitation from the Medical University of South Carolina for Physical Therapy. He enjoys playing golf and soccer. He and his wife also keep busy with their two boys.

Mark was a US Navy hospital Corpsmen for 6 years and then graduated from Shenandoah University in Winchester, VA in 1993 with his Master's in Physical Therapy. Mark has close to 30 years of Physical Therapy experience in all settings with a focus on Manual Therapy and one-on-one patient care. He moved to the Lowcountry this past October from West Virginia with his wife Marcia. They enjoy the beach, camping, hiking, kyaking and relaxing on their back deck with their dog, Lucy.

Heather works primarily at the Johns Island location. She is from southern Mississippi and got her Bachelors in Biological Sciences from Mississippi State University. She received her Doctorate in Physical Therapy from California State University, Sacramento. She was happily brought to Charleston by the Air Force. Outside of work, she likes reading, hiking, and spending time with her husband and 1-year old son.

Katie received her bachelor’s degree from Loyola Marymount University and graduated from the University of Montana with her Doctor of Physical Therapy. Following graduation, she completed a residency in orthopedic manual therapy and is a board-certified clinical specialist in orthopedic physical therapy. Katie has a strong background in athletics and has participated in a variety of sports throughout her life. In college, she was a Division I swimmer and water polo player and enjoys working with overhead athletes and patients who have suffered concussions. She has an interest in treating chronic low back pain, running injuries and the shoulder, but loves all aspects of physical therapy from athletes to the elderly. In her free time, she likes to scuba dive, fish, hunt, paddleboard and be outdoors enjoying God’s creation with her husband Brian.

Crissy works at the Johns Island location. She grew up on the eastern shores of Maryland. She got her undergraduate degree from Salisbury University then pursued her Masters in Physical Therapy at the University of Maryland, graduating in 1999. She has 20 years of experience as a Physical Therapist. She lives in Mt. Pleasant with her cat Kahlua. In her spare time, she loves to cook and travel.
